Our Trackman Studio has allowed us to take our custom fitting service to the highest level and recommend booking in for a fitting if you are considering treating yourself to some new clubs. Every golfer is different, and your clubs should reflect that. Let us make the game a little simpler where we can, you can read some more about our services here.
Player Interview
A player interview serves as an essential first step, allowing the fitter to understand the golfer's preferences, playing style, and any specific challenges they may be facing on the course. Questions may cover topics like preferred shot shape, typical miss-hits, and areas of the game that the player wishes to improve. This qualitative information provides valuable insights into the golfer's mindset and goals.
Physical Assessment
Following the interview, a physical assessment considers the golfer's physical attributes, including height, arm length, and posture. These factors play a role in determining the initial adjustments to club specifications, such as club length and lie angle.
Swing Analysis
The golfer's swing is then analysed using Trackman and other technology. This objective data, combined with the subjective insights from the player interview, provides a comprehensive understanding of the player's unique characteristics and helps guide subsequent adjustments.
Club Length and Lie Angle Evaluation
Building on the physical assessment and swing analysis, adjustments to club length and lie angle are made to ensure dimensions of the club compliment the golfer.
Clubhead and Shaft Options
Offering a variety of clubhead and shaft options allows the golfer to test different combinations. This step enables you to feel the differences and choose the setup that aligns with your preferences and performance.
Real-time Testing and Feedback
The golfer hits balls with the potential custom-fit clubs, providing real-time feedback. Testing different combinations of head, shaft and loft to refine the selection.
Grip Selection
Considering the golfer's hand size and preferences, the fitting process includes selecting the right grip size. A well-fitted grip promotes proper hand placement and contributes to improved control and comfort.
Final Adjustments and Confirmation
Any necessary final tweaks are made before your new custom clubs are placed on order.
We recommend 60-minute fittings if considering one category of clubs, for example irons, woods or wedges. If you would like a full bag fitting or multiple categories fitting, we recommend a 120-minute fitting. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us in the shop.

We are very fortunate to have access to some of the best practice facilities in the county. Our expansive putting green is one of the largest in the U.K. which is supplemented by a short game area which allows golfers to test every conceivable shot around from around the green. The driving range is a short walk from the clubhouse and offers golfers a choice of hitting balls outdoors or retreating under cover should the weather turn against us.
