FIRST ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER

Royal Wimbledon Golf Club is the 3rd oldest golf club in England and can trace its origins back to 1865; located close to London this private 18 hole members’ club, redesigned by Harry Colt in 1924, provides a tough test of golf over fairways lined with heather and gorse. The club is entering an exciting period, having just started a major restoration program under the guidance of Tom MacKenzie, Golf Course Architect.

Due to an in-house promotion, Royal Wimbledon Golf Club is now recruiting for a 1st assistant greenkeeper. Applicants should be fully qualified in all aspects of greenkeeping, have a strong team orientation, good work ethic and good communication skills. Additionally, they should be responsible, show a progressive career leading towards management and have a passion for presenting surfaces of the highest quality for our private membership.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Course Manager and his Deputy and assist in managing the day-to-day running of the golf course along with the responsibility of running your own weekend team.

A salary expectation depending on training and experience is in the region of £25,500 - £27,000 + overtime. There is no accommodation available with this role.

BAR AND CATERING STAFF

Royal Wimbledon Golf Club is seeking talented and experienced Bartenders and waiters/waitresses to join our team. Candidates must be well presented, sociable, enthusiastic and proactive with a natural flair for excellent customer service and an outgoing and friendly personality.

The ideal candidate must have good spoken English, strong communication skills, a good work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and a sense of team spirit. Essential qualities should include reliability, punctuality and the desire to progress in this industry.
